As you probably gathered from the title, days two and tree have not gone as well as I would have liked. I did absolutely NOTHING yesterday, and have only gotten in a twenty-five minute workout today.
Wanna hear my excuses? Too bad! Here they are: Tuesday morning I was up from 4 am to 5 am and did not sleep very well before that; so when the alarm clock went off (at 5:30) for me to work out, I decided sleep was more important before a LONG day of teaching four year olds. Tuesday night found me coming home from work (over eleven hours after I left home) with a burgeoning migraine; some sleep aid and thirty minutes later I was happily out of it and on my way to eat Mexican food with my husband and parents (who are now our neighbors!). I had a very stoned meal, and remembered nothing of the rest of the night, except how little I slept. Which is why I didn't work out this morning. Once again not murdering children from lack of sleep took priority over shrinking my waistline.
Eating healthier is working much better! I like healthy food so its nice to try to streamline all of my dietary choices. I am also proud to say that I have only had 2 sodas (and one sip) since last Saturday! I think I may actually kick the habit this time!
Tomorrow is yet another day, and I don't have to work really early, so I will actually sleep AND workout.
For now I am going to have some quality time with Papa; we miss each other. See you tomorrow world!

Day 1= SUCCESS!!!
So I didn't quiet make it to getting up earlier this morning (because I was up for about two hours during the middle of the night), but I did get up and do my thirty minutes of yoga! Right in the middle of my third downward dog I came to the startling realization that I am no where near 16 years old anymore. By the time I got to the dead pose I thought I was going to die! I'm proud of myself for actually getting up and doing anything, much less the entire workout.
I also started reading in Proverbs. Chapter one was very interesting; all about the basics of wisdom, that "Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all knowledge. Only fools despise wisdom and discipline" (v 7). It also reminded me that my parents are the ones who taught me what life is about. It told me to remember the lessons of my parents because they would "crown me with grace and clothe me with honor". I like being reminded that my parents are wise and that I should listen to them, I sometimes forget that in my "adult" life.
Matt and I ran by Wal-Mart to pick up some healthier food (instead of MSG filled, highly processed cafeteria food). Breakfast will consist of fresh fruits and an organic granola, oat, and honey cereal! For lunch I will have lean turkey meat, raw veggies, and probably more fruit! My snack will be raw unsalted almonds. Supper will be normal food like stew or meatloaf and all the trimin's although I will watch my portions so that I don't have to much of a very delicious home-made thing!
Hopefully the next week will go as planed with an hour of workout and Bible study every morning. Keep your fingers crossed for me... I have never made it an entire week before! I hope this is going to be the first!

Well, here we go!
Tomorrow I plan on getting up an hour earlier than normal to read a chapter in Psalms, a chapter in Proverbs, and then start my yoga. I feel a little overwhelmed right now because my record is usually two or three days of dedication and then I go back to sleeping in. Everyone keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck cause here I go!
My plan is to do my yoga routine for about 30 minutes a day, everyday of the week. After a few weeks (when this becomes routine) I want to start doing some ab workout along with that.
I also want to start eating better: less grease, more greens, and leaner meats to go with it! The food will be easier than the workouts except for the lack of sodas! (I'm going to slowly work my way off of them!)
Lets here it for a better, healthier life, where I will, hopefully, follow the will of Papa and have a closer relationship with Him.
